About Me: Since joining as an SPO in the testnet phases I’ve learned a lot and been able to offer advice when possible which is rewarding, I know how daunting it can be to start out! When I’m not at my day job or on the family farm I like to spend lots of time out on the sea, swimming, paddleboarding, also taking photos of the northern lights, night sky and cool weather phenomenon. I have quite a varied range of interests and have been running servers since my CS1.6 gaming days. Covering everything from running a stakepool to shearing sheep I have quite a varied skillset.

Mission: To support decentralization of the Cardano network and using part of the profits to donate to charities who support the local community and further afield in the UK.

I’ve chosen the Arran Mountain Rescue Team, Arran RNLI and the Arran Trust who give grants to local causes supporting everything from community projects to environmental health and conservation.

Arran has a strong community and in extreme times, such as ‘Snowmaggedon’ in 2013, the resilience of the locals and volunteer emergency responders really shone through. They provide a vital life saving service. When the weather is bad Arran can be cut off from help so we have to do it ourselves. Supporting these teams and causes also supports the island’s tourism business which sustains many jobs on the island. I hope to raise awareness of Cardano through the annual donations and be able to offer advice to those wishing to join in.
