Mission: MnM charity pool’s mission is helping those that need it most in developing countries. Running with network minimum fees and donating 10% of all fees to charities bringing clean water, medical, educational and vocational help to struggling children and families in developing nations. 

Please see our website for the charities supported (initially Tear Fund, International Needs & Mercy Ships). My family and I have personally donated to, and sponsored children through, these charities over the years; therefore, I trust them and the excellent work they do.

I have strong opinions about how a charity pool should be run. Too many groups claim to donate to charity without outlining clear amounts, donation timing (year end?), or providing proof of donation. It is prudent to maintain a healthy skepticism of such claims.

MnM pool’s donations are completely transparent, and publicly posted on Twitter, enabling delegator scrutiny.  

To demonstrate this, my first tweet is an up-front donation.

Extra Info about you?: I’m a bean counter in New Zealand, now nauseated with beans and their excessive beaniness. I want to extract myself from the grind and do something fulfilling, helping people meaningfully. I’m a computer enthusiast experienced with Ubuntu and networking. I like figuring things out for myself. All manner of computer builds and setups, graphic art, websites, the lot, I enjoy doing it myself.  

After hearing Charles Hoskinson speak back in February 2021 (when I started getting into crypto), it was an eye opener. I found his vision of Cardano extremely compelling. The potential to really change the world in a fundamental way, particularly developing countries. I want to contribute to this vision, and help people in a meaningful way with this charity pool.

I have also started a beginners guide series on setting up a stake pool on my Youtube channel.  I’m looking to enable and empower people on the Cardano network.
